An insurance broker is often key in helping a customer to recover following a claim. The Industry Claims Working Group (ICWG), chaired by BIBA, brings together stakeholders to find ways to help customers have a positive claims experience.


To support the ICWG in exploring ways to:

  • Get valid claims paid as quickly as possible;
  • Consider where a broker can add the best value during the claims process to ensure fair settlement; and
  • Engage with the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) following the expansion of their remit to adjudicate on complaints from SMEs to deliver fair outcomes.
